It is still grating to recall how Obama banned the nativity scene from the White House and all federal buildings. If the nation gets nothing else from the Trump administration, at least they enjoyed the return of Christmas to the Capitol.
Since 1889, the White House has celebrated Christmas by decorating the People’s house. That was put on hiatus by Obama, who did away with it. Thankfully, the nation has been delivered from the multicultural and anti-Christian “The Gift of the Holidays” sponsored by Michelle Obama with a return of traditional celebrations spearheaded by First Lady Melania Trump.
The theme, done to honor former First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy, was revealed on November 17 by Melania in a tweet that read, “This year’s @WhiteHouse Christmas booklet is in printing! Excited to receive the beautiful tree Monday! #ChristmasTraditions.”
Conservative Fighters notes that the First Lady is also dispensing with Michelle’s hiring of expensive interior decorators and has, instead, elicited the help of 75 volunteers from 20 states across the nation.
One of those is Candace Schumacher from South Dakota.
Schumacher is quoted as saying, “There was no application or anything. I just said I was interested in decorating the White House. There was no response [to her letters to the First Lady] and my kids kept telling me it was such a long shot. If you want to do something, you have to go for it or else it’s just a wish. You don’t want any regrets. You have to see what you can do in life.”
In October, Schumacher was told she had been chosen as a volunteer. She will spend November 23 to 27 turning the White House into a huge display of Christmas pride. With Melania in charge, it is sure to be a classy and breathtaking scene.
