BREAKING: Donald Trump Makes HUGE DACA Announcement

President Donald Trump spoke out on Monday to once again demand wall funding in exchange for a deal on DACA, despite another Senate amnesty proposal from Sen. John McCain.

“Any deal on DACA that does not include STRONG border security and the desperately needed WALL is a total waste of time,” Trump wrote on Twitter, according to Breitbart.

Breitbart reported that this came after McCain and Sen. Chris Coon proposed a bill that would legalize DACA recipients and order a comprehensive study for border security in exchange for military funding. Trump called on Democrats to make a deal on DACA before the March 5th deadline.

“March 5th is rapidly approaching and the Dems seem not to care about DACA,” he wrote. “Make a deal!”

During Trump’s State of the Union address on Tuesday, he noted that “Americans are dreamers, too,” and discussed his “four pillars” of immigration reform, which included provisions for legal status for DACA recipients and others eligible for DACA status. The White House estimates that this number is 1.8 million people.

Trump also took to Twitter to say that he will be speaking in West Virginia at the congressional Republican retreat Thursday. There, he is expected to discuss major policy items for his second year in office.

“Heading to beautiful West Virginia to be with great members of the Republican Party. Will be planning Infrastructure and discussing Immigration and DACA, not easy when we have no support from the Democrats,” Trump tweeted. “NOT ONE DEM VOTED FOR OUR TAX CUT BILL! Need more Republicans in ’18.”
