Trump Jr. Posts HEARTWARMING Selfie Just Hours After Vanessa Filed For Divorce – Take a Look

President Donald Trump’s eldest son, Donald Trump Jr., was hit with devastating news this week when his wife of 12 years filed for divorce from her husband.

The president’s daughter-in-law filed in an uncontested proceeding in Manhattan Supreme Court, meaning she does not expect a legal battle over custody of their five children or assets.

Only hours after the heart breaking news was made public, Trump Jr. posted the most heart warming fatherly selfie on social media and everyone who has seen it just absolutely melts.

“No matter what is going on, bedtime cuddling with the smurf puts a yuge smile on my face,” Donald Trump Jr. proclaimed Thursday in the caption for a selfie he took with 3-year-old daughter Chloe.

Vanessa filed a summons Thursday — simply notifying her husband that she wanted the split. The pair are believed to have a “cast-iron prenup,”  and according to sources — are not heading for a fight over custody and assets. The nature of the filing also means the former couple don’t have to appear in court and their attorneys can quickly and quietly finalize the divorce.

Trump Jr. and Vanessa’s kids range in age from 10-year-old daughter Kai to 3-year old Chloe. The two met in 2003 when Donald Trump introduced them at a fashion show, and were married in 2005, The New York Times reported in 2006.

“After 12 years of marriage, we have decided to go our separate ways,” they said in a joint statement to multiple media outlets Thursday. “We will always have tremendous respect for each other and our families. We have five beautiful children together and they remain our top priority. We ask for your privacy during this time.”

His father’s campaign and presidency have impacted their private lives in other, unforeseen ways, such as his involvement in the Russia investigation and being the target of threatening letters containing white powder, which resulted in Vanessa being rushed to the hospital after she opened one.

Trump Jr. tweeted at that time that he was “thankful that Vanessa & my children are safe and unharmed after the incredibly scary situation that occurred this morning. Truly disgusting that certain individuals choose to express their opposing views with such disturbing behavior.”

Trump Jr. called off his Secret Service detail for a good period of time in September, reportedly because he wanted more privacy. Sources told Page Six that Vanessa is a private person. However, his detail was reactivated about a week later.

The New York Post, which broke the divorce story, cited Trump Jr.’s schedule as part of the reason for the breakdown of the marriage.

The 40-year-old has undertaken more business travel in the year since his father took office and left him and brother Eric, 34, in charge of daily operations at the Trump Organization. At the same time, he’s spent more time defending his father’s actions and policies on cable news and social media, as well as stumping for Republican candidates.

The silver lining in the situation is that Trump, 40, can relate to what his children are going through. As the eldest of Donald and Ivana Trump’s three children, he was in his early teens at the time of their high-profile 1992 divorce.
